1932 Austin Seven Special

Description:
1932 AUSTIN SEVEN SPECIAL SPEEDSTER. This beautiful race car is in amazing condition. It was a restored a few years back. Everything was done on the car, the engine has been gone trough, 12 volt conversion with alternator. You can still crank car to start if you wish--this is very easy--or it does have a conventional electric starter as well. It has the synchro-mesh transmission which came in 1934. Brakes are mechanical so no hydraulics to be concerned with. They were gone through as well and actually stop quite well with firm pedal. The car is right hand drive. It runs and drives amazingly. It is either still or aluminum (hood and other bits aluminum) and he only wood anywhere is in the seat base, dash, and front floor which were all done new at restoration time. If you have seen Austin Seven Specials, you know there are no two alike. They were all built by their owners back in the day. This is one of the best examples I\'ve ever seen. You are hard-pressed to ever find one in the United States. I do not know if the 2,7xx miles are original, but the speedometer still works. Original restored moto-meter on radiator still works. This car had absolutely zero rust in steel panels even before the restoration. Finished in a vintage racer matte red. You can drive this around and be a celebrity or go vintage racing. Anywhere that you take this car it will get attention. Car has a Clear Florida title as a 1932 Austin. The car has been stored in a climate-controlled garage with A/C. For comparison, the car is smaller than a Mini Cooper and weighs approximately 625 pounds. -Vehicle is on consignment and at our clients home -Please Call First and talk to a rep at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 -Showroom is by appointment only Please Call -If you would like a FREE Listing please visit our consignment page or Call
