For many of us, we’re content to leave our classic cars as true to the original design as we can. In fact, the most valuable classic cars are the ones that haven’t been altered at all, in many cases. Still, there’s something to be said about adding a little bit of those modern conveniences to your car, and if you own a Porsche, they’re making it really easy for you to do that.

Porsche Classic recently announced that they’ve designed a new navigation radio system that was designed to fit any Porsche that was released from 1964 through the 933 generation. This radio system has all of the features you’d expect from a modern GPS, and because every Porsche has been designed with the same DIN-1 slot, it’s easy to have it incorporated into your car. In addition, the system also offers high-tech music options, so it really is a modern addition to a timeless classic.

Of course, the navigation radio doesn’t come without a hefty price tag attached. They currently cost more than $1,300. That in itself might be a deterrent, although it is a small price to pay for the luxury of such a useful addition to a great car.

What do you think? Would you ever add something modern to your classic car? We’d love to hear your thoughts. Let us know, and check back for more classic car news at www.oldcaronline.com.
