The Carlisle fairgrounds hosts many classic car shows with different themes. They just completed their All Truck Nationals and are now gearing up for their most famous annual event the Corvettes at Carlisle. The event will have a special display of 63 1963 Corvettes marking the 50th year those classics rolled off the assembly line. The originator of the Corvettes at Carlisle, Chip Miller, had done a similar display 10 years ago with 53 1953 corvettes being showcased.
The event is set for August 23-25 and two other famous corvettes, one a classic and the other the new 2014 Corvette Sting Ray, are set to make an appearance. The classic one of a kind Corvette Rodine concept car that is the only Corvette made of steel will also be at the show. As always the show will see many other Corvettes that have made the trip annually as this is billed as the most popular and famous Corvette show held throughout the world.
One of the most popular cars here at Old Car Online is the Chevy Corvette. You can browse classic corvettes at our website and find one worth taking to Carlisle one of these years, or one to simply keep it in your garage at home.
