Description:Mitsubishi was late to the sport car/sport coupe competition by the 1990s with the 3000GT and companion Dodge Stealth. This example could be returned to showroom new with some TLC, if you\'re willing to take it on. The seller owned this car for the past 25 years and took good care of it; the love and care are demonstrated through minimal wear and tear visible on the inside. Made in Nagoya, Japan, this front-wheel drive example is finished in Martinique Yellow Pearl (code Y99), retains its visually striking element as the paint is in overall very good order but some of the car\'s trim shows sun damage, e.g., the driver\'s side window trim at the beltline. The engine bay is tidy while the rear cargo bay is in good, original order. The car\'s body-colored bumpers fit tightly to the body. A/C blows, but not cold. Most likely in need of a charge from sitting. Under the car\'s second-generation revision, the caps on the hood were replaced with integrated sheet metal blisters, and revised side air vents and rear bumpers were added. The interior was redesigned with dual air bags, a new audio system and revised air conditioning refrigerant. This car has Sumic GT355A radials that are mounted 16-inch aluminum, seven-spoke wheels. The wheels are in good, original condition. Under the counterbalanced hood is a 3.0L DOHC 24-valve V-6 engine (code 6G72). It has a redline of 7,000 rpm. The motor is backed by a Getrag 440 five-speed manual transmission (code F5M33) and a 4.15 final drive. Driver convenience features include automatic climate control which works but does not blow cold, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, electronically controlled suspension (ECS), rear window defroster, rear window/washer, sunroof, fog lights that are inoperable and a split-folding rear bench seat. The car has two-tone gray upholstery (code D). The front buckets and the rear demi-buckets are in overall good condition. The gray carpet is in good, original order. The dashboard is in good, original order, along with the factory four-spoke steering wheel. There is a sizable dead-pedal left of the clutch for the driver\'s left foot when not shifting gears. The speedometer, tachometer, odometer and fuel gauge are clustered in a pod ahead of the driver while the car\'s ancillary gauges are in a horizontal line above the center stack but canted toward the driver. The car\'s center console looks good. Completing the interior, the car has a factory AM/FM stereo with a cassette deck, seek/scan and a seven-band graphic equalizer (EQ). Documentation includes assorted invoices and receipts. Competition to this Mitsubishi in 1995 included Acura\'s NSX, BMW\'s new-for-1995 Z3 Roadster, Chevrolet\'s Corvette, Dodge\'s Stealth, Honda\'s Prelude, Mazda\'s RX-7, Mercedes-Benz\'s 300SL (R129), Nissan\'s 300ZX, Subaru\'s SVX and Toyota\'s Supra. VIN: JA3AM84J8SY007095 If you drove one of these in high school or college and you miss the nostalgia, here\'s a second chance to own another 3000 GT. If you\'re a Mitsubishi fan, this car would make a worthy restoration candidate. Either way, this one likely will not last long as 3000 GTs are rare sights on the road these days. We all know that the financial times right now are tough. With the stock market being so volatile and investments becoming less valuable, many people are turning to the classic car market to invest their money. Putting your money into a hard asset that you can enjoy everyday is becoming a very popular option, especially now when the marketplace is lower then it’s been in many years. We invite you to put your money into a vehicle that is fun to own and brings back memories of when you were younger.
With the increase in turnover has come the increased need of fine automobiles. We are constantly looking for exceptional cars and travel the country coast to coast in search of the rare and unusual. We find our cars through individuals like yourselves as well as classic car and dealer auctions. We do not purchase vehicles that we would not be proud to own ourselves.
