Description:
1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 #4570 In the history of the automobile, few cars were anticipated as much as the Corvette ZR-1.  The rumors had been circulating for almost three years before one was available for purchase.  The hype was not Chevrolet\'s doing - car enthusiasts were eager for any and all scraps of information and the magazines did what they could.  The ZR-1 ID on the option list was a tribute to the special ZR1 high performance package available for 1970 - \'72 Corvettes which was shorthand for Zora\'s Racers. This was a serious racing package costing approximately $1,000 and featured the much admired LT1 engine.  King of the Hill was an internal and supposedly unofficial working title around GM for the ZR-1 project.  The moniker stuck with Corvette fans and according to rumors, could be found on some low level GM documentation. Between the 1990 and 1995 model years, a total of 6,939 ZR-1 coupes rolled out of the Corvette factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  The first year enjoyed the highest production: 3,049. The facelifted 1991 model followed that with 2,044, while 502 375-hp models were built for 1992.  Limited LT5 V-8 production by Mercury Marine, which ended in autumn 1993, dictated the number of 405-hp ZR-1s built for the last three model years; a mere 448 were sold in 1993, 1994, and 1995.  For consignment and your viewing pleasure, one of the 41 Arctic White ZR1\'s built according to the ZR1.net registry and as per our consignor this car is believed to be the final white car built.  A NCRS Top Flight Award winner, a Bloomington Gold Gold Certified, Bloomington Gold Survivor Gold winner, and a Bloomington Gold Benchmark Award winner along with sporting a mere 5,978 actual title verified miles, we\'re in serious Corvette collector territory.  Allow me to get my fork, knife and napkin so I can eat this dream up. Exterior All clean, sparkling and ready to celebrate, Arctic White drapes this second to last year Gen 4 model and final year ZR1.  The paint is the factory application and is in very good condition, and badging shows correctly.  With its rubberized body matching crash bumpers, this car is virtually devoid of any chrome, and just badging shines brightly against the white.  A slight flashback to the roots of the early 50\'s with the front quarter intake venting just behind the front wheel well.  Despite using specific components like reprofiled doors, widened rear quarter panels, and a convex tail panel, replacement fiberglass panels can be sourced with relative ease, as can glass, save for the ZR1-specific windshield although the regular production C4 glass fits, so if in the future a mishap should occur all hope is not lost.  A body colored removable roof is on, and in the hatch area we note a spare transparent roof section that has never been out of the original wrapper.  A touch or retro finds itself on the rear panel with a pair of dual tail lights on either side of the central CORVETTE emblem and dual exhaust cutouts are below.  17 ZR1 wheels adorn the 4 corners and are wrapped in staggered width high performance rubber from 2019.  For the show field, our consignor is including the original tires that only have seen 3,200 miles...Im feel a rumbling in my tummy! Interior The ZR1\'s interior left the factory one way and one way only...fully loaded with every luxury item on the base Corvette option list.  Amazing black leather dominates the snazzy interior that features a semicircular instrument panel that is a digital/analog combination and shows in an orange background with black LCD digits and lines.  This all floats in a field of jet black carpeting.  Noted is the actual mileage of 5,978 miles.  Controls for power seat adjustments, a large glovebox, selective ride control knob, and the shift lever are within the console.  It rises to the dash and houses a key switch labeled normal and full power, (more on that later),  the digital AM/FM/CD & Cassette radio, digital readout temp controls a
