Description:1990 Ford Mustang LX Convertible 7Up Limited Edition vehicle. HISTORY: The Seven Up Bottling Co. contracted Ford to build 30 special edition 1990 Mustang convertibles as promotional award cars to be presented during the NCAA Basketball Finals. Only 2 such cars had been built when the contract was cancelled but due to response, Ford decided to produce 5,000 such cars for public sales. Production began on Feb 2 1990 and ended with the final car produced on May 29 1990. These cars all were produced as coupes and were delivered to Cars and Concepts of Brighton Michigan with their tops removed for conversion into convertibles. They were fitted with convertible tops and special interiors. Only 4,103 such Mustangs were ever produced, with 2,743 fitted with automatic transmissions and 1,360 with 5 speed manual transmissions. As of 2020 there were 337 of these vehicles listed in the 7UP Registry. This vehicle is provided with windshield decal and all associated paperwork from both Ford Motor Company and Registry President verifying the above information and authenticity. It has been meticulously cared for and is stunning in its correct PA code Deep Emerald Green Metallic paint. The interior is virtually perfect with no wear or tear issues anywhere. The white vinyl top is perfect as is the rear glass. The AC is ice cold and the stereo sounds amazing. It has had a recent(less than 100 miles ago) replacement of steering components and wheel alignment at local Ford dealer. The clutch cable was replaced with upgrade Ford adjustable unit with alum quadrant and pedal pressure and range is perfect. Flowmaster cat back exhaust system was installed to replace the leaky stock system and has a nice subdued mellow sound. The power top, windows, doors and trunk all operate flawlessly. Starts instantly. Maintains proper oil pressure and temperature throughout the driving range. As clean on the bottom as it it is on top with no hint of any corrosion ever. With the exception of the exhaust system(the OEM system i.s no longer available) this vehicle is a rare completely unmodified and non-aftermarketed example of a great little Mustang.
