Description:This 1987 Buick Grand National has everything you really want. The black paint is extra slick, the full style is extra clean, and it has nice factory extras like T-tops. Plus, this is extra rare. It\'s a Canadian market car, and only about eight percent of these final-year GNs were sent up north. And when you convert its accurate odometer from kilometers to miles, you see this has barely covered over 40k miles. So you\'re looking at stunning style, distinct rarity, and seriously low mileage!
Grand Nationals were the meanest cars of their day, and so it\'s awesome that the design team made sure we all feared it on the streets. It\'s a full midnight package with the bumpers, grille, and trim going over to the dark side. There were nice dark factory additions, too, like the power dome hood and the spoiler on the trunk. And this blackout really showed us that the well-creased lines of the Regal were truly sporty when you rendered them correctly. Speaking of looking correct, the black paint was given a respray later in life to make sure there remains a nice luster to all this darkness. It\'s an impressive package, but don\'t ever think of this as a museum piece. A proper Grand National -- even with this low of an odometer -- is meant to be driven. After all, this is the kind of car where you\'re going to let the mood strike you when it\'s time to slip the T-tops into the factory storage bags and go for a wind-in-your-hair power drive.
And because the world can get such a good view inside, the interior is looking quite nice. The correct black and gray bucket seats up front look great, and they do a terrific job of balancing out the Buick\'s comfortable image with extra bolstering for the Grand National\'s added performance. As a true high-end sports coupe, this comes loaded with all the best features. It includes power windows, power locks, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The sport steering wheel, tilt column, and auxiliary readouts on the center console are all about a proper driver\'s machine. This interior also has one of the coolest reasons why you want a Canadian market car. Speedometers in the 1980s were never fun. Manufacturers, including Buick, didn\'t see much point in charting you beyond 85 mph. But when you\'re in km/h the factory documents up to 140. So it\'s something that\'s cool to show off at the car shows, and it makes doing 65 mph on the highway look/feel like over 100!
What really makes this one so special is what\'s under the hood. The 3.8-liter fuel-injected V6 turbo motor turned this Buick into a Corvette contender. And because the powerplant is so essential, this one has received some nice investments over the last decade to enhance the power. This includes a cold air intake, 340 ph high volume fuel pump, 42 lb. injectors, and a scan tool that helps with the programming tweak for the turbo and injectors. It\'s a powerful coupe, and so Buick upgraded the suspension for better handling. This one takes it further with Bilstein shocks. But while this was built for power, it also like to be a proper grand touring machine. That\'s why the four-speed automatic transmission has highway-friendly overdrive. And there are solid anytime cruising features like power steering, cruise control, power brakes, front discs, and wide tires on the special GN polished wheels.
The sale comes complete with many factory components that were replaced as well as some essential spares. This Grand National is rare, sharp, powerful, and all-around irresistible. Call today!!!
