Medium Red, Metallic
This 1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is the kind of classic American coupe you knew was out there waiting to be discovered. It takes the beautiful lines of this gen Malibu and adds an ultra-hot V8 and a nice cool A/C interior. The result is an impressive custom classic that will often be unique to the scene.
This generation of Chevelle is now really getting appreciated for its style. The headlights are deeply sculpted into the design for an elegant look that also gives a better definition to the line that starts in the fenders and runs all the way through the doors. The rear does a great job of having a crisply sharp style while also giving you sleek lines. It\'s all wrapped in a nice shade of medium red that has the right amount of metallic to get this one notice every time the sunshine finds the distinct sheet metal. And the black vinyl roof is a terrific way to highlight the now-iconic Colonnade roofline. But take an extra moment to appreciate the full package. Those upgraded wheels even go with the roof...but that\'s not why you should take notice. The large Mickey Thompson rear tires and aggressive stance hint at some extra power within.
It will always be fun to leave the doors open at a cruise-in so you can show off those cool swiveling front bucket seats. More than just looking cool, there is a practical side to this coupe with plenty of space for family and friends in the wide rear bench seat. And the trunk is large enough to carry a full-size spare and plenty of cargo. It\'s a comfy car for everyone with the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo w/USB input and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. And classic car fans will appreciate the little details, like the working dome light and premium Malibu wood-like trim. But the focus of this coupe is truly about the drive. You have factory features like a center console, floor shift, and tilt steering column. Plus, the upgraded gauge package with tach mounted on the steering column lets you know there\'s something special under the hood.
We love Chevy\'s 400 cubic-inch V8 because it offers big block displacement in a small block weight, and while that was available in 1974, you can see this one is far from stock. It was given a full Edelbrock upgrade suite with the four-barrel carburetor, air gap intake, polished air grabber, and finned valve covers. In fact, we were told this is a full build motor that was said to be pushing 425 horsepower to the rear wheels! That\'s why you have those grippy Mickey Thompson ET Street rear tires and beefed-up rear suspension. And while there is a street-eating attitude, the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and front discs give it good cruising nature, too.
Complete with owner\'s manual, this is where style, features, and plenty of power come together. So you know this is the best way for you to get your hands on muscle and distinction right now. Call today!!!
