Light Pewter Metallic
The 1973 Ford Mustang is the last of the first-gen cars, and so it\'s a distinct part of the legend. And when you\'re looking to represent history, it\'s terrific to find a highly original one like this. As you dig into the details, you\'ll not only see a V8-powered coupe, but also a level of preservation that will have you talking about barn finds and survivors.
The story we\'re told is that this was with the same family for the first 45+ years (mother and son). We even have the original window sticker that shows it was purchased a few hours from our showroom, and it\'s believed to be a North Carolina coupe all its life. The car had even spent about two decades off the road and stored. It was only sold outside of the family for the first time a couple of years ago, and it has been properly resurrected to be a good driver today. The Light Pewter Metallic paint looks good. There\'s a nice shine and just the right amount of wear to make you want to tell the car\'s history. The panels line up well with the kind of good care that would make us believe that the claim of the low odometer representing actual mileage could be true. There have been some updates along the way like the vinyl sport stripes and wide exhaust tips. They add some flair, but the overall originality is what\'s really going to impress.
The Ginger interior is one of those great 1970s colors, and so it\'s great to see it looking so optional and well preserved. High-back bucket seats, a touch of wood trim, detailed door panels, and a floor shift for the three-speed auto give you the right vintage elegance. You\'ll find minimal signs of wear and use. There\'s even a dash cover and floor mats to mitigate. And what you\'ll really be impressed with is the love of detail, right down to the working dome light and Philco AM radio that\'s still cranking out tunes.
Under the hood is a highly original presentation of the correct 302 cubic-inch V8. And while you may be admiring pieces like the factory decals, this also has been given the right newer investments. This includes an alternator, plug wires, and the radiator. So this hardy Ford powerhouse remains a strong motor.
The sale not only comes complete with the original window sticker, but also the owner\'s manual and warranty booklet. This is the significant year pony car that also has one of the best stories around. So don\'t miss this southern \'Stang. Call now!
