The last owner replaced the engine in the winter of 2000, with about 10,000 miles since the engine install. Procell Bros Performance Center Built 350 .30 over with 9.4 compression ratio, dyno sheet showing 440Hp/401 torque engine with Iron Eagle heads with screw in studs and valve guides, Isky Racing Cam 284, 1.6 Comp Cam roller rockers, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, Hooker Headers long tube headers, dual chambered exhaust, MSD ignition, and much more. One of the previous owners also redid the rear end and replaced the leaf spring with a fiberglass one.
We replaced the power steering pressure and return hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses, fan clutch, power steering control valve, tongue bushing, fuel pump, fuel pump hoses, master cylinder, and much more. We also changed the oil and filter, rear end grease and additive, and checked and lubed the chassis.
This corvette is a lot of fun to drive and sounds awesome! It will definitely draw attention while driving..
1972 was the last year for the LT-1 engine option, front chrome bumper, hide away wiper door, two hood options, removable rear window, and these are just some of the major changes. GM released a total of 1,741 LT1's in 1972 out of 27,004 total production. 1972 was also the year the horse power rating system changed from gross which was the engine by itself to net which factored in air cleaner, exhaust, and power accessories like air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, transmissions, and so on.
