A 454 big block delivers the soundtrack and torque enthusiasts want, while the 700R overdrive transmission offers improved cruising ability compared to the original 3-speed automatics. The interior features black vinyl bucket seats and a console shifter, and the truck retains power steering, front disc brakes, its factory bed trim, and a spray-in bedliner for usability. It was ordered with factory A/C, and while the system is currently not functional, the original compressor comes with it. This El Camino is a project, but one with excellent bones and great visual appeal. The paint and body show a few expected imperfections including some small issues, a couple of faded areas, and some chips, but still present well enough to enjoy while making improvements. The next owner may also want to address several items along the way: the car could use fresh tires, the passenger vent-window tint is peeling, it needs a choke for optimal cold starts, and there may be a rear main seal seep. The A/C system needs to be reinstalled and may require a new compressor. There is currently a cut-off switch installed due to power staying live after key-off, which should be an accessible electrical fix, and the chassis would benefit from a good cosmetic freshening to match the rest of the vehicle\'s visual appeal.
