1969 Plymouth Fury III
Convertible. 440 4 Bbl. 8 3/4 3.55
grip. Auto. PS. PB. 112,500 Miles.
We bought this car in 1986 in
Texas with 42,000 miles on it.
Engine overhaul 25,000
miles ago. Transmission overhaul
Last Summer. Painted in 2012. It
does have a couple small bubbles
that have popped up on the wheel
well. Has a few very small chips
here and there, as stated, we
drive this car. Took it on a 1400
miles Circuit of Michigan 2 years
ago, with no problems. Fun
cruising car. We always get lots
of compliments when we are out in
it. Have driven it in dozens of
parades. Have entered it in many
local car shows, including Mopar
Nationals in Columbus. It is
usually the only one of its type
there, or if there are others
there are very few, and not as
nice shape. As with any 50 year
old car, it has its issues, but
I've done my best to keep it up
and running and well-maintained.
New front brakes this summer, new
power steering pump this fall.
Alternator last year. Heater core
three years ago. It does need a
radiator recore, but it's not bad
enough to stop from driving it for
now. We've never driven in the
winter. Always been garaged since
we've had it. Serious inquiries
only. Once they start salting the
roads, we will not take it out for
a test drive, unless a very likely
buyer. I would have no problem
driving this car to a neighboring
state to deliver it.
