428 Super Cobra Jet V8
This sleekly restored 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is one of the meanest-looking street machines of all time. Of course, it\'s only better when it\'s a real-deal big block 428ci V8 with a close-ratio four-speed manual. Plus, you\'re going to love the unique story about how this became a factory Super Cobra Jet car.
A shaker hood, chin spoiler, hood pins, rear window slats, and a wing on the rear deck - this fastback has some amazing presence. It\'s all about getting a genuine Mach 1 Mustang with plenty of great original-style features. The factory-correct blacked-out hood mixes with the proper gold Mach 1 stripes on the side and rear to give this both an aggressive and upper-class appearance. You see all these trim colors pop so nicely thanks to the distinct application of the factory-correct Acapulco Blue. What we like best about this color is the big investment in a professional respray that really pops in the sunshine and shows off the excellent sheet metal. So you get to be as bold as the red cars out there while being far less common. In fact, everywhere you look, this car carries the right pieces for the iconic year. It\'s in everything from the well-presented chrome bumpers, to the legendary Mag 500 wheels with Pony center caps. It\'s an overall presentation that gives the first impression that someone cared to make sure everything remained era-correct. The result is a car that\'s stunning, intimating, and pure vintage.
The black interior has a sharp-looking style and it goes great with the exterior accents. The Mach 1 was the most expensive Mustang model aside from the Shelby line, so Ford made sure that buyers got their money\'s worth in the interior. It starts with the comfortable high back bucket seats and the center console in between them. As you step inside, you\'ll notice the exceptional condition of the upholstery, dash, carpets, door panels, and headliner. Even the classic details are great, like the working dome lights, clock, and AM/FM stereo. All the wood-like trim adds to the upscale ambiance of the Mach 1. But this is really a sports car. That\'s why we love the aggressive red streaks in the seatbacks that coordinate with the floor mats. And it feels like a proper performance car with the three-spoke Rim Blow sports steering wheel, power steering, full gauges w/tach, floor shifter, and era-correct SW green line console gauges.
When you open the hood, this one has all the right appearance to be both clean and mean. After all, we all are instantly attracted to the iconic shaker on top of the air grabber, and the full engine bay has been given the right investment to be tidy enough to serve dinner on top. So you\'ll proudly show off this 428 cubic-inch V8. And it\'s worth lifting the hood so that you can tell this car\'s unique story. Keen eyes will notice the H in the VIN. This should be a 351ci car, but the factory dropped a Super Cobra Jet big block in instead. Going from the least powerful to the mightiest Mach 1 motor seems like a tall tale, but the included Marti Report proves it. And this car is also listed in the Super Cobra Jet registry. So you not only have a real-deal factory SCJ, but also one of the most unique stories ever. This is an era-correct block but not numbers-matching so it is believed to be a proper replacement. The big block is mated to a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, so you get the best control over the whole package. And as an SCJ, the power is sent to the road via a 3.91 Traction-Lok limited-slip rear end.
This is a restored speedy classic with a lot of Wow factor. So don\'t let one of the sharpest and most interesting SCJ Mach 1s ever slip away. Call now!
