These Chevelle body wagons are a really nice size,
good looking with enough space to be useful.
Runs great, very reliable and ready for a comfortable
long distance trip. Well maintained drivetrain &
suspension with many upgrades. Recent new carb,
distributor, radiator, tires, water pump, belts, hoses
etc. I have a file full of receipts and a notebook that
will go with the car.
I trust the car to drive any distance without trouble. It
has never stranded us. In 2017 we drove this in its
current state from Southern California to Yosemite and
on to Hetch Hetchy and back. We had a great trip with
the wagon only needing to stop for gas. Gas mileage is
about 14 in town or traffic and around 20 on the open
highway at 75+. I have driven this in everything from
the desert at 118 degrees to mountains in the winter
as cold as 4 degrees and it is at home in either.
Car still looks good but with the paint being 21 years
old now I consider it a "20 footer". There is some minor
body work on the rear drivers side & some rust in the

In 2002 the front bench seat was replaced with power

seat redone in matching vinyl. The front seats have
some wear. Carpet was done at the same time and has
some fading. Headliner is good. Stereo is Alpine with
Has only been painted the one time in 1997 with PPG
polyurethane enamel. Paint shows it's age with chips,
small dings and some rust spots in the usual places on
the lower panels. Some rust at bottom of rear windows
but it is not rotted out. Chrome and trim are original.
Grill is original but the plastic is deteriorating.Dash
pad is original and has some cracks.
A new windshield was installed less than 5000 miles
ago so it is very clear. The car runs strong and handles
well. Everything works. The AC
compressor has been rewired with a toggle switch to
allow the defrost to be used without running the

This is a good car to keep and drive as is or for
someone who would want to re-do the exterior &
interior and not have to worry about the drivetrain.

myself so know the car inside and out. I have tried to
be complete and accurate in the description.
