Description:
1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS350 Convertible Tribute The 1969 Camaro was available in many different configurations. From a plain Jane sport coupe to asphalt eating Super Sport, there was something for everyone! Any buyer who selected an SS model Camaro would receive one of potentially 5 available high output V8s. The entry SS350 was the L48 350ci/300hp small block, while an SS396 Camaro received four different big block 396ci options. These were the L35/L34/L78/L89, which each were respectively rated at 325/350/375 horsepower. The L78 and L89 were both rated to 375 horsepower, but the L89 received aluminum heads whereas the L78 heads were made of cast iron.  Ss396.com  For consignment, a1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS350 convertible tribute with a title verified 32,084actual miles. This one emulates a convertible version of the more than 22,000 SS350 cars produced in 1969 and has been owned by our consignor since 2018 who states the car has been dead reliable.  Exterior Now in the two stage version of its original color, Fathom Green, one of an incredible 18 color options available on the Camaro in 1969. Naturally, a white SS hockey stick stripe runs from the nose back to the doors and running parallel is polished rocker trim flanked by 14-inch Chevrolet Rally wheels. A color keyed spoiler rest atop the tail light panel handsomely configured with distinctive Camaro three section tail lights with a white square in the center for reverse. The black canvas top and its clear plastic window are in good shape and a front air dam sits prominently under the chrome bumper. Simulated vents are on the hood and SS badges grace every side. Imperfections here include some rock chips, edge chips, small scuffs, inclusions, and a small ding. Overall the body, paint and trim are in very nice condition. Interior It\'s 1969 so green on green is not uncommon, and Midnight Green dresses the interior of the car beginning on the door panels that retain the smart design with stitch patterned vinyl inserts and delicate polished trim. The seats also combine smooth surfaces surrounding pleated centers and are in remarkable condition and the rear follows suit. A typical black steering wheel now wears the SS badge and fronts the triple gauge presentation ahead that includes a clock and AC branded dials. Woodgrain spruces up the mid panel where the AM/FM/Cassette radio resides. In the center console, the fantastic quad pod tilts back with white faced gauges, ahead of a B&M shifter in the console. Clean green carpet is protected by SS branded mats and the trunk takes on a showroom configuration with clean, barren painted floor and spare tire.  Drivetrain Under the hood is a show worthy 350ci from 1976 now featuring a Holley 4-barrel carburetor over an Edelbrock intake. It\'s mated to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission that routes power to a 12 bolt rear axle. Headers, power brakes, power steering, and air conditioning are supplied. And there are plenty of polished parts under the hood to keep showgoers happy!  Undercarriage Super clean underneath with dry conditions and minimal surface rust. The dual exhaust goes from the headers to FlowMaster mufflers, then exit through straight pipes in back. Power disc brakes live up front and power drums are out back. Suspension consists of the typical configuration of coil springs ahead and leaf springs behind.  Drive-Ability The car sounds great, idles smooth, and moves eagerly onto the test loop where it exhibits fine power and straight tracking. The interior environment is pleasing and clean and the view over the vented hood is satisfying as can be! Other than the air conditioning, all functions operate as they should on this tribute, and it\'s time to put it under the lights. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.  No harm and no foul with this tribute to a
