383 Stroker V8
This 1969 Chevrolet C10 is an awesome full custom build. You have the sporty stance, bright luster, big stroker V8 power overdrive comfort, and loaded A/C interior that make for a showstopper. And when was the last time you saw details like suicide doors on a pickup???
This truck was given a full restoration in 2014, and the odometer tells you how far it has gone since completion. So it still has the freshness of a 5k mile build. In fact, we\'re told there was over $110k invested in this pickup, and while it doesn\'t cost nearly that much, it has all the hallmarks of a six-figure classic. For example, the red paint may be a timelessly attractive color, but this application has a deep gloss and smooth feel that is unmistakably a modern high-quality application. And it\'s laid over straight panels that were done to be as sleek as possible. Deleted badging, shaved door handles, a flush roll pan, and a smooth tailgate lets the light roll evenly from the hood to the tail lights. And as the ideal American classic, they made sure to still leave plenty of room for brightwork. Up front, the shine of the chrome bumper, custom grille, and crystal-clear headlights show off a big investment in giving this Chevy a brighter face. Those 22-inch KMC wheels have an awesome shine, too, and they give this one a terrific sporty stance.
Electric door poppers and suicide doors mean you\'re going to impress people just by hopping into this pickup. The interior turns the desirability up a notch with a new layout that includes form-hugging bucket seats. The tan upholstery sets the tone for the custom door panels, headliner, dash, and center console for a thoughtful and uniform style. Everything has a quality look, right down to the bright courtesy lights. This has terrific upgrades like power windows, a cup holder center console, and provisions for modern R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) Plus, you have an upgraded audio system that includes a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo touchscreen with Bluetooth. And elements like the Grant GT steering wheel, tilt column, and Classic Instruments billet gauge pack with speedo and tach are there to make sure you know this restomod is a true driver\'s truck.
The engine bay is about both style and substance. The smooth burgundy inner walls and all those polished components mean you\'ll proudly lift the hood at the car shows. At the center is a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8. It has the right upgrades, including a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake, and long tube headers that add extra power while also adding to the sweet sound of the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. There are also right supporting components like hydraulic hood hinges and an aluminum radiator and electric fans. The whole setup was done to be a great driver with trailing arms rear suspension and 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. It\'s got plenty of power, and so the power steering, modern sport tires, and power brakes with front discs are all there to let you confidently handle it with ease.
