1968 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Street Pro Street is a style of street-legal custom car, usually built for drag racing. Cars of this type typically feature a narrowed rear axle coupled with oversized rear tires for maximum grip and a large capacity V8 engines often supercharged. A specific type of race car, typically American muscle cars. This class of vehicles are highly tuned, intended for pro-class races, but still have the ability to be street-legal (that they have proper safety features, lights and signals, and depending on jurisdictions, keep within a specified weight-to-horsepower ratio). This street legal, drag race looker, custom painted, with only 1,900 miles on a 4 year old build, and engine changed Camaro is a real head turner. Whether it\'s the noise it produces for your ears or your eyes, it is almost like you cannot look away. Blending all the looks of Pro Street and an updated modern drivetrain we have a looker and a cooker at our fingertips. Strap in and hold on, it\'s gonna be a fast ride! Exterior Straight steel panels are covered in a dark blue leaning toward the spectrum of purple paint. The paint shows in the deep end of the pool and gray stripes start on the header panel and race down the sides ending in a point at the rear of the door. A huge rearward facing hood scoop is on, the front bumper is shaved, and the exterior stripped of most badging. A black vinyl top has been installed and looks fab, chrome drip moldings, window surrounds, and bumper on the rear are in good condition. A fabricated aluminum rear wing is bolted on to keep those big tires firmly planted to the ground. Polished Weld Prostar wheels are on all 4 corners with 26X7.50 tires in the front and massive 33X19.50 tires on the rear all in 15 size. A shout out to the nicely carpeted trunk which holds both the battery and a fuel cell. Interior A swing of the door and we are met with beautifully customized door panels in dark charcoal leather with diagonal tuck and roll stitching in leather and suede in the center. Bright and shiny chrome window cranks and door handles give some bling to the doors. Dark charcoal leather and suede continues to the modern front bucket seats which have smooth bolsters with both leather, suede and snappy red stitching while the centers have a suede tuck and roll design and are ergonomically designed to keep your posterior firmly planted. The rear seat has been removed to make space for the large tire tubs and a roll cage with padding keeps the driver and passenger safe in case of a whoopsie going down the track. The factory dash has been retained but a speedometer and tachometer by Autometer now replace the factory instrumentation. Moving to the center of the dash we have more Autometer gauges to monitor engine vitals along with an AM/FM by Custom Autosound and a Vintage Air system to keep the cabin nice and comfortable on the long street drives. A B&M shifter sits on the center of the hump and is surrounded by nice black carpeting while a suede black headliner hangs above. A big thanks to TMI for the full on custom interior. Drivetrain Underneath the big scooped hood resides a 6.2L LS series V8 complete with a stage 2 camshaft, ported and polished heads and a supercharger all working together to the tune of 750 consignor stated horsepower. A 4L85E 4-speed automatic transmission built to handle 1,000hp sends power back to a narrowed Ford 9 with 3.55 gears and a TruTrac center. Undercarriage A black painted non original frame and sheet metal floors give this car its backbone. All is clean and rust free, the way we like it. A tubular coil over front suspension is on in front while a ladder bar setup with coilovers is on the rear with both sets of coilovers being double adjustable. Wilwood power disc brakes provide the stopping power while a power rack and pinion setup allows steering with ease. Headers send spent fossils through Borla mufflers and out from under the body just i
