Description:1967 Chevrolet C10 Long Bed Pickup Ford Mystichrome was a color shifting paint finish that changes hue depending on the angle and intensity of light. The paint was first introduced by Ford Motor Company in 1996, exclusively for the Mustang SVT Cobra. Produced by BASF, the paint is composed of 2 layers, (topped with a clear coat), that create a unique and dazzling visual effect. The creators of the paint finish took inspiration from the iridescent colors found on the wings of the Morpho butterfly found in Central and South America. After the success of Mystichrome, other automakers tried to imitate the color shifting paint trend. Txh candeshop.com For consignment, a 1967 Chevrolet C10 with unknown miles, and wearing a coat of paint that transitions as the angle and light changes around it. Call it mystic, chameleon, midnight purple, prism green, it all basically does the same thing and that is presents a vehicle in different shades depending on where your eyes are. Suffice it to say, the 6\'6 guy next to you is seeing a different truck than the one you\'re looking at. Exterior Bathed in two stage Chameleon paint, this long bed is sometimes blue, sometimes purple, but always interesting! No surface is spared the special paint and even the grille surround wears the shifting hue. A cowl hood provides a slight rise to the front while the shoulder line of the truck starts with the contoured sides of the hood and flows straight back along the bed. From a certain angle, gold or green comes through, then bronze in a kaleidoscope of ever changing color. Out back, the bumper has been replaced with a smooth roll pan and meaty tailpipes split wide in tandem under the stamped tailgate. The rounded roof of the cab presents the only rounded edges of the truck while six spoke 18-inch American Racing wheels add the perfect performance glow and wear 55 series tires. The bed is painted black and shows some usage, so this is a good looking truck that can carry stuff! Imperfections include some small bubbling down low and a crack in the paint. Interior The paint spills into the interior where it covers the inner doors and frames basic black vinyl inserts. A charcoal tweed cloth bench fills the front with a black vinyl shell in fine condition. A 3 spoke steering wheel fronts a wood panel that houses Daytona gauges and a Sunpro tach, also framed in a body colored Chameleon dash. Standard vent controls are in the middle and an AM/FM/CD radio is mounted low on a custom center console that waterfalls to house the tall, floor mounted shifter, all surrounded by low pile black carpet in good condition. The ceiling wears more of our special paint. Drivetrain Under the hood is a clean 350ci V8 with a Demon 4-barrel carburetor. It\'s backed by GM\'s 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the 12 bolt rear axle. The engine has some purple pulleys and other accents to connect with the exterior and a brake booster in place, helping slow this truck down with power disc brakes in front and drums in the rear. Undercarriage The underside is not as showy as the top side, but it does have a Mystic painted rear differential cover while the rest is uniformly black. We note a drop of oil on the underside of the purple pumpkin and a red drop near the back of the transmission, but no other errant fluids and almost a complete lack of surface rust. Dual exhaust comes from the headers and travels straight back, unimpeded by mufflers. Suspension consists of coil springs with 3-link and a panhard bar in back and coil springs up front. Drive-Ability If the paint doesn\'t get your attention, the raucous bellow of the exhaust certainly will. The lowered stance of this truck gives it a car like ride and lessens the roll around turn. It also has strong acceleration and tracks straight with bias free braking. We note the horn and the reverse lights don\'t work, but all other functional items do! While Classic Au
