The asking price is $21,500.00. It’s a very solid mostly original car according to the previous owner who passed away suddenly in 2011. It’s one of only 2000 made but still drives and rides like a new 1963 Thunderbird likely did. The doors, hood and trunk even still close with a definite tight thud. The current mileage is 55,192.
The previous owner installed some upgrades such as dual exhaust, refurbished brakes, shocks and a rebuilt Cruisematic transmission. The power-windows, tilt away steering wheel and the AM radio and clock still all work as designed.
The overall quality of the white interior is excellent while the Corinthian white exterior paint appears to be mostly original with a few dings and scratches to be expected in a 51 year old classic automobile. It appears the black vinyl top and landau bars have never been restored.
The car also includes some extra parts such as a re-chromed rear bumper to include the tail bezels and buckets with wiring connections if someone wants to install them. The parts are currently in the trunk.
We purchased the car in September 2011 and now wish to sell it. It needs another good home for someone who wants a mostly original classic and has the knowledge, money and time to return it to mostly showroom condition if desired.
