One of the most desirable Chevrolets ever produced this Concours Restored body off Restoration has been performed to the highest standards. This Red on Red beauty was judged at the 2010 Classic Chevy International Winter Nationals and received 990 points out of 1000! For the discriminating collector who wants an authentic 409/425HP in exceptional condition look no further. This Impala is not only rare but it is documented to prove it. It still has Its Original window sticker showing the 425 Horsepower Option and all the details to verify it was restored as it was originally built. It was a cover feature car with an inside article in the November 2010 issue of Chevy Classics and a copy is included with the car along with a show board displaying the issue! This is a Numbers Matching Drivetrain with the Original Engine, 4-Speed Close Ratio Transmission and 4:11 Posi-traction Rear Differential. It Has the Correct Dual Quad pieces including the Carter AFB Carburetors #3361S I 3362S that have been restored to new specs and perform flawlessly. Everything has been restored and rebuilt and dialed in, it needs nothing but to be enjoyed! The engine compartment has the correct factory finishes, markings and all the components are very neat and tidy. This Impala accelerates the way it should, the suspension holds the road very comfortably without squeaks and rattles and it holds the road well when taking turns even with the polyglas tires. The fit and finish of the very straight body is striking with excellent panel gaps, bright trim and very nice glass. The body panels and floors are original GM Steel and the doors and windows open and close with ease. The gorgeous Ember Red paint has a remarkable shine. All of the chrome and bright work trim is in exceptional condition.
