Description:
Beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible
for sale. Two-seater Ford Thunderbirds made
a huge splash between 1955 and 1957. Their
appeal and name recognition continue almost
seventy years later. ''Porthole'' windows in
the '56 and '57 removable hardtops remain a
styling icon. The one-year-only fins on the
'57 'Birds make them unique within this fine
flock. Restored to the original colors inside
and out. This is one of the most striking
color combinations and who can deny the
attraction of a red Thunderbird? The
removable hardtop with portholes, mirror-like
chrome bumpers, egg crate grille, and for the
rear, in bumper exhaust ports, this car
screams "Drive me". The seats are in
excellent condition with no tears or cracks,
all newly restored. The dash
has a big, curved overhanging cowl, more
machined aluminum, a litany of round gauges,
and chrome bezel black knobs and pulls. An AM
radio is neatly installed and as we gaze
across the dash we can note temp, fan
controls, and a nearly hidden glove box, but
the deeply inset keyhole gives it away.
This comes with the original, matching VIN -
V8 312ci motor. Painted in red with a
restored engine bay & with a 4-barrel carb,
backed by a 3-speed manual w/overdrive.
She's beautiful and ready to be enjoyed. Has
been garaged since the frame off restoration,
and barely driven. Manual steering
& breaking. Receipts from the restoration
are available.
