Description:We all have dreams of cruising a stunning icon, and this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop will certainly fulfill that wish for one lucky person. With stunning paint, upgraded small block power, four-on-the-floor, four-wheel disc brakes, and a comfy A/C interior, this is the ultimate classic that\'s a blast to drive and is memorable everywhere it arrives.
Sunset Fire Prism is a distinct way to show off a top-of-the-line Bel Air. It\'s quality DuPont paint that has been laid down with a professional hand, and it lives up to premium standards with a deep and shining presentation. And the timeless white on the roof makes sure this one remains looking like a proper classic. We are told the transformation of this build was started around 2000, but the last few decades have been quite interesting. The paint was first laid down by a professional body shop, but the car was kept for nine years uncompleted. A farmer bought the project and spent years painstakingly completing it in the car in 2016. Since then it has been under the care of one owner. So when it comes time to tell this car\'s tale, it\'s a bit of a barn find, a bit of a low-mileage long-term owner, and fully an all-around cool custom. This is a great total presentation, which also means awesome brightwork. It looks exceptional on the full-length trim with the fan-style rear, dual bullet-style hood ornaments, and the truly iconic full bumper/grille combo. Plus, this one has some cool details. The upgraded headlights, blue dot tail lights, polished dual exhaust tips, and Cragar SS wheels give it a great custom/classic/cruiser attitude. And while V8 Bel Airs had golden insignia trim, this is given a slightly more copper tone to look distinct while also coordinating with the special paint color.
The interior has a classic black and white two-tone theme that feels quite thoughtful. You have two rows of wide bench seats that look attractive with period-correct style (1956), right down to the button top on the seatbacks. You\'ll even appreciate details like the taut headliner, plush carpeting, smooth dash, working clock, and dome light that greets you when the door opens. It\'s built to be a more comfortable cruiser with well-placed upgrades like the movable center console with cup holders, a retro-style AM/FM stereo, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. There are nice driver upgrades like the auxiliary readout trio and a Hurst floor shifter. Plus, you can tell they were thoughtful with this build when you spot cool details like how this column-mounted tach has its housing painted to match the dash.
The VIN indicates this is a factory V8 coupe, and so it\'s great to still have small block power under the hood. But it only takes a casual glance to see an upgraded polished presentation is providing plenty more power. This starts with a 350 cubic-inch motor, which is larger than anything available in 1957. It has been upgraded with a full Edelbrock suite that includes the four-barrel carburetor, intake, air grabber, and finned valve covers. There\'s also an upgraded cam or better power and a sweeter tune from the header-fed dual exhaust. You will also spot good supporting components like the Be Cool aluminum radiator and the battery moved to the trunk for better weight distribution. You get to take full advantage of this upgraded power and rumble with the Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission. And there are even nice driver-focused upgrades like four-wheel power disc brakes and Hotchkis sway bars front & rear.
Here\'s the iconic classic that checks all your boxes for added power, comfort, and style. That\'s why this one is so irresistible. Call today!!!
