CLASSIC RESTORATION Project:
UPDATED SALE PRICE: We exchanged a completed NEW Red and White interior for a Blk/White real nice used interior to lower the landed selling $Price!
This is a 1955 -- Fairlane-Crown Victoria and is better known as the Crown Jewel of Classic Cars. I purchased this car as a restoration project in July 2014 and planned to bring her back to her original beauty and glory with all the stainless to be polished for show quality. During the restoration I also purchased a second Crown Vic, that would be part of my car collection. I have decided to keep the second car and offer for sale the one I am presenting on for the next hobbyist and car lover of this rare breed.
I have completely disassembled the car and have the shell/cab currently on a rotisserie while making repairs and have installed and fitted original OER style/stamped floor boards and toe kicks for both sides valued (materials purchased) at $1,500. This car is a solid project, with a few minor metal requirements (*SEE NOTES BELOW) to bring her back to life. The majority of the metal is in way better than average for this year car and needs only a few additional areas repaired to perfect the face-lift before setting her back on the chasse/frame. The car is nealry a complete car and only requires a few pieces of stainless trim for the body (***UPDATE Parts Found and Purchased). It has a very solid chasse and a 312-Y Block power-plant, which came with the car (never started) and 3-Speed FordOMatic Transmission and a completed Black and White interior out of the 2nd Crown purchased (***Now Includes Black/White Interior***),
The bumpers and bumper guards and a few other pieces require re-chrome or replaced like most cars from this time period. All the stainless is in real good condition and requires minor scratch, bump/dent removal and final show polishing. A few pieces of trim were missing when I purchased the car, but I have good leads and resellers contacts for the balance (UPDATE: More Parts Found and Purchased). Will require new headliner, carpet and interior paint theme. Some glass is showing delaminating and all 8 pcs. glass kit... new can be purchased for $750. Trunk pan in good condition and requires a tire well belly pan (UPDATE: Found and Purchased). Door hinges and post solid (Minor Metal Work At Base Of Post Bottom 6"-Easy Fix). Rockers have been replaced. Lots of new parts are available for the Fairlane's including eye-brows and tail light assemblies and many other parts to bring this project to its best game.
If the rotisserie is of interest with the 55. . . I could consider selling this equipment with the car but would require additional money for this already installed with the cab. You can see this in the picture above on the car trailer. This was purchased just for this project when we started for over $1k. I will sell with the rotiss. . . already attached for $900. This would save wasted time and effort for the next builder mounting and is a super piece of equipment when working the cab and will rotate 360 degrees to allow the final metal fixes to be easily made to perfection. . . without crawling around on the ground.
I am selling this Classic, because I have three other car projects in progress that need my attention and have decided since I have the 2nd Vic almost complete. . . I desire to reduce my space requirements for the other classics in progress.
If you are a car hobbyist and have been looking for a Classic car to bring back to life. . . this is your car. If you have any questions feel free to call me and if you wish to employee me to complete the car for you, we can discuss my fees to do so.
This car will sell quickly because of its Classic styling... of all the Fairlane's and promises to turn heads at any age. 2018-Spring Carlisle Ford Nationals are around the corner and if we decide to take the 55 to the show... we will be asking more money. We have priced this for a quick sale!
This 55's will include black and white interior for $6,500.
ADDITIONAL UPDATE - We attended the Crown Convention in Grand Rapids, MI., and now have the additional trim and tire trunk belly pan that was needed for the 55.
*** NEW PRICE WITH BLK INTERIOR ***$6,500*** w/rotiss $7,400 (picture shown-front seat)
