Original black plate California car
Only 200 Continental Coupes were produced
before production was ended due to WWII,
making this a rare and unique Lincoln.
Rebuilt V-12 305 cid engine, 3 on the tree
transmission, still has 6v electrical system.
Kept up on maintenance, recent battery,
rewired taillights, rear brake hose, R & R
cylinder heads and 4 valves unstuck. Have
extensive local (Fairfield CA) repair records
dating to 7/2013 including $17K engine
rebuild in 2015. Runs and drives fine!
Odometer not working and appears to have
stopped recently at 99,418 miles. This is a
classic 20 footer (maybe even a 10 footer).
Paint is an older repaint that still shines
with some dings/wear. This car has some
beautiful chrome!!! Red leather interior has
some minor splitting/cracking. Aftermarket
seat belts installed (2 front, 3 rear). Power
windows converted at sometime from vacuum to
electric but are not currently working,
however the radio works! Drive as is or you
have a great base for an easy restoration.
Included are the original Lincoln reference
book (owner’s manual) and 1942-48 service
manual published in 1948, as well as a car
I bought this more than a year ago from
Fairfield Ford in Fairfield CA to use as a
family cruiser and have driven it less than
200 miles. We’ve had some fun but
circumstances are such that I cannot keep it.
My loss, your gain.
