Description:1938 Ford Standard 2 door Sedan. This an all original, factory, period correct 1938 barn find Ford. It’s known as the humpback for its touring sedan-style trunk. It’s a complete car. Any rust or cancer this vehicle may have had has been repaired/replaced with US made metal and US made patch panels. I’ll show you everything that has been worked on, replaced, addressed or caught. As well as, what I’ve found that could use or needs attention. I have nothing to hide. The hood is included and is now on the car. It was restored in the late 70s. At this time the body was skim coated with bondo and it’s cracking, chipping, peeling and flaking off in certain areas. So, it could use body work/paint or just simply enjoy it, drive it as it’s and don’t worry about it. It does run, drive and stop smooth for its age. It steers well, I’d adjust the brakes again and lube the factory cable brakes soon. I have a clean, clear CA title in my name. It’s registered for another full year (December 2022). It has the larger and less common standard factory option 21 stud Flathead 221ci, 3.6liter v8 (85hp), the big one, Not the thrifty 60 (60hp) 136ci Flathead v8. The engine was rebuilt in the late 1970s (when the car was restored) and I was told it only has about 6,000 miles on it. The odometer reads 770 miles (rebuilt Speedometer, odometer/gauge cluster)and will continue to slightly go up as I do drive it weekly. It’s got oil pressure and it runs very cool. I professionally flushed the complete cooling system (radiator and block), it’s always idled/ran between 160-180 degrees and after I performed my flush and fill it now idles/runs between 140-170. New period correct ford script radiator hoses were installed. It has the factory 3 speed (floor shift) transmission and rear differential which work as they should with no funny feelings or noises. I’ve recently changed the oil in the engine, trans and rear differential with the proper oil. This ritual has been performed every 500-1000miles
