Description:1932 Ford Model BB 1 1/2 Ton Panel Delivery Panel trucks were marketed for contracting, deliveries, and other businesses. Often described as a small or large van, (based on the chassis of a truck or pickup truck), used mostly for delivery rounds, the British equivalent is a delivery van. For consignment, a 1932 version of the Ford Model BB 1 1/2 ton Panel Delivery truck. This truck is the beneficiary of a full frame off restoration, right down to every nut and bolt and it is truly a stunning example inside and out and is as close to perfect as a car can get. No rust, just beautifully sculpted straight steel and an impeccable interior with a maple wood floor and oak racking. All wrapped up to be an excellent presenter and driver that was part of a private collection and stored in a climate controlled showroom. Exterior Up front a corralled and vertical ribbed grille leads the way and has a deep end of the pool black covering all the steel surfaces of the corral, grille and center hinged hood. Gaps are very well minded, and all chromed trimmings are in excellent condition. A black painted horn flanks the front grille on the right and on either side are chrome bezel headlights encased in black bowl cowls. We see french curved fenders hanging on either side and are connected by a running board, again in black. A dual cowled hood with the sides in beige with some venting is seen upfront and as we glide rearward there are two doors. The rest is pure panel delivery truck with Ford navy blue taking over for the expansive roof and more creamy beige taking over for the slab sides. We note the addition of Sampson & Son Genuine Ford Parts Delivery livery adorning the sides of this hauler, much as it may have looked back in the mid 30\'s. On back we see dual swinging doors for easy access to the cargo area and just below twin tail lights in the round let those behind you know your intentions. A chrome side view mirror is perched on a black stalk attached to the driver\'s door, and 20-inch black steel wheels and blackball thin tires. Noted are dual wheels in the back for those extra heavy loads. Interior Pure utilitarian with black painted steel door panels supporting shiny actuators and window cranks. Moving inside we see a beautifully restored Navy Blue painted dash with a simple 3 circle gauge cluster within a machine turned oval taking up residence in dash central. The original steering wheel in black bakelite is fronting this dash and reached out to two front low back buckets which are covered in more smooth black vinyl. Rubber is on the floors and seen protruding is a silver long shaft shifter and silver handbrake lever. Behind the seats is the fully restored cargo area which sports stained maple flooring and the remainder of the interior is matte black with oak storage racking lining each side of the cargo area, all perfectly preserved, painted and aligned. Drivetrain A lift of one of the cowls and we behold a 221ci flathead V8 painted in a patined and surface rusted utility green, correct from the factory. It is topped by a 2-barrel carburetor, has a 4-speed manual transmission on back and a 4.88 rear axle. Supple hoses stand out against the slightly patined engine bay, which with a good detailing could be brought up to the same level as the interior and body. Undercarriage If you purchase this panel delivery you will also need to purchase a large mirror to park it over and show off the very nice undercarriage. Just a hint of road dirt, all perfectly painted black steel, all looking close to like it just drove off the showroom floor. Transverse leaf springs provide the ride up front and heavy duty leaf springs are in the rear along with mechanical drum brakes which are working like a charm, are on all 4 corners. Just perfectly restored leaving no spoken unturned. Drive-Ability A quick starter and on the track it drives like a dream. It felt like it had power steering; it was that smoot
