1932 Ford Model B Pickup For 1932, Ford introduced an improved version of the Model A 4-cylinder to a new V8 in its cars and trucks. This 200.5 cubic inch 56hp engine was referred to appropriately as the Model B. The Model B has many elements of the Model A and the two have a great deal of interchangeability, and today it still holds true as many updated Model A\'s incorporate the Model B engine for improved performance. This steel rodded version of the 1932 Model B is out there in its purest hot rodded sense. With front fenders removed and side hood cowls absent, plain red steel wheels and a 350ci V8 engine, we can definitely get a little pick me up from this pickup! Exterior With its top chopped 3 inches, and transverse leaf springs, front spindles are on a dropped axle, no front fenders, side hood cowls or running boards, we have the hot rod version of a pickup truck. Bathed in light and dark blue, this all steel rodder has a bed cover and a dark blue vinyl textured top. The bed floor is covered in blue carpeting and the hood top cowl is stored here too. LED front and rear lighting is now on, decent chrome and fairly straight panels this older build holds up well. Plain red painted steel wheels are all around and wrapped in thin whites. Also, a moon cap and trim ring is within these wheels. 3-inch chrome tailpipe tips are noted looking out from under the bumper. We give you a Blazin\' Blue 32! Interior As I unlatch the Bear Claw door latches a light blue stitched vinyl panel for each door greets me. A dark blue carpeted panel is below. Inside a black background with a bit of texture is on the dash. Mounted to this black faced dash is a blue padded vinyl panel that uses vintage styled white faced gauges with gold bezels. Above at the windscreen top edge of the white headliner is a custom upper mounted console if you will which houses an AM/FM/Cassette radio. For the vertical panels white tuck and roll vinyl covers these surfaces. 2 low back blue buckets are now installed and these float on Wilton wool Rolls-Royce carpeting. A black rally steering wheel and a Lokar shifter reach out for the driver to control this truck down the road. Drivetrain 350 cubes of V8 engine is shoehorned into the engine bay. The block casting numbers indicate it is a 1969-1979 350ci V8. Atop is an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor atop and it feeds the engine through a Holley intake. A TH350 3-speed automatic is bolted to the rear of the 350ci mill. A new cooling system has recently been installed. There is an Oldsmobile rear end and headers with a turbo muffler system attached. Undercarriage Nicely restored with no rust, no errors or structural inefficiencies, and a fresh coating of paint. Nice black paint even on the frame exists. On the lower door panels inside some surface and slight invasive rust is noted on both doors. New power disc brakes are now attached to the front, and on the back power drums are also new. The ride is secured by transverse leaf springs upfront and rebuilt leaf springs on the rear. Very clean and well-maintained underneath. Drive-Ability Started quickly, and drove just like a 1932 Pickup! Blue padded vinyl seats help with the ride. The truck rode fairly smoothly and had plenty of power to cruise down the highway, or any back road. Good handling, and a smooth shifter. All functions were working just swimmingly. A diamond in the rough, an earlier build which used materials and plenty of new ones which update the truck to have current day sexier options. A turnkey truck that runs great runs great and is a blue canvas to curb appeal, leaving you to dream on! She\'s my little deuce truck, you don\'t know what she\'s got!
