After Joe raced this car for short while, he disassembled
and started from scratch. Built by Joe and brother Walter
in their shop on Staten Island, took 2 years to get back
together. Joe was avid car show buff- attended many
shows. Hood and radiator were extended 3” forward.
Chassis was finished with weld racing wheels running
165/sr/15 front and 31.08 x 18.50-15 rear tires. Equipped
with a heavy 355 CI Chevy engine,671 Wyand blower 2-
600 holly carbs, tubular automotive headers, custom
made air cleaner, turbo 400-Ford 9” rear,body chopped 3
1/2”: 1978 Buick Regal sunroof: hood extended 3 1/2 “.
Chassis....model A boxed, steering ....64 Mustang boxed.
equipped with Manley 7.5:1 compression pistons and
sealed power rings. Fuel delivered by Weiand intake and
6-71 supercharger running a pair of 600-com carbs. Car
has power - moves. After a local car show with light rain
shower car lost traction we spun out and crashed. Car
was taken apart and repaired in full. It’s a beauty.
