The Mercury Monterey became a top line sub series in 1952 and became a separate line in 1954. The Monterey was known for its exceptional styling, sound engineering, and quality fit and finish. In 1954 Mercury introduced the new Y block V8 overhead valve engine with a 4 barrel carburetor.
This is an excellent example of a 1954 Mercury Monterey. A full frame off restoration was completed just 3 years ago. The exterior is Bittersweet with a white top. Paint is excellent and the chrome and trim is bright and shiny. 20k alone was spent on the chrome and trim. This car does have a continental kit that is not currently on the car but will be included with the sale.
Engine is the original 256 cid with automatic transmission. Both the motor and trans have been rebuilt.
Interior is a matching two tone Bittersweet and Black. All interior components are in excellent new condition.
This car has power disc brakes that will stop on a dime. It also has power windows.
