Vehicle Description

The 1928 Hudson\'s were very handsome automobiles.  The use of a higher and more slender radiator, vertical engine louvers and larger parabolic ally shaped headlights gave them a stately, almost aristo-cratic appearance.  With the moto meter moved to the dash, a sculptured hood ornament took its place, and small saddle lamps were now mounted on the cowl.  An industry first was the hard rubber steering wheel formed with finger scallops, the ebony color matched the instrument panel.  Hudson was now equipped with an electronic ignition system.  This car was much ahead of its time.  By 1928, Hudson produced two models and eight body styles.  This auto is the larger model only being surpassed by the 7 passenger limo body. The engine - F Head super six 289 cu in 92 HP, and transmission was 3 speed sliding gear type.  This car was purchased by actor Wallace Merck from a museum who claimed the carts be completely original from the engine to the drive train and interior.  It enjoyed 1 new repaint awhile back with the same 2 colors of green and black.  The odometer shows original miles.  Mr. Merck and his friends (Caroll O\'Conner, Andy Griffith, Johnny Cash, Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck) have all enjoyed riding in this Hudson.  Wallace performed in the Heat of the Night, Matlock, and The Dukes of Hazard.  The car is a wonderful original example that still runs and drives good, and may have been parked on Hollywood and Vine.  Complete video of this vehicle available for $50, refunded with vehicle purchase, and includes overnight shipping of video.  Call our classic car division at 815-385-8408 for video and/or vehicle information.

LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who will use classifieds to get your money. Here are some ways to avoid these scams. Use skepticism and good judgment.
  1. Be wary if the price is notably below market value.
  2. Be prudent with International transactions. A good number of buyer/seller fraud attempts originate from overseas.
