Vehicle Description

Prices are on the move for Mustang fastbacks, and the fact that they are now creeping onto the market in greater numbers suggests that now is the time to buy. They won\'t be this affordable for much longer, and nice ones like this Acapulco Blue fastback are the ones to own if you like to drive. Is the 1967 Mustang fastback the best-looking pony of all time? Hard to argue against it, especially when they\'re this well turned out. Bright Acapulco Blue looks tropical and sunny, but also carries a performance attitude with those white rocker stripes. The two-stage urethane paint is dazzling in the sun, it highlights the many peaks and curves of the stock Mustang sheetmetal, details which often go unnoticed. This is a correct Acapulco Blue (Code D) fastback Mustang which only adds to the long-term value. Dig the crease that runs along the tops of the front fenders or the subtle divide running down the center of the decklid, both of which are highlighted by the gorgeous paint. You\'ll also note that this one is nicely assembled, with good gaps and smooth transitions from panel to panel. All the chrome on the car is new save for the gas cap, which is the original GT piece. There\'s also a set of GT foglamps up front, correct GTA badges on the rockers, and a set of sequential LED taillights just for style. The interior is a deluxe two-tone bucket seat setup with fresh seat covers, correct carpets, and a folding rear seat. However, despite all the new gear, things like the steering wheel, door panels, and instruments are excellent originals, which suggest that this car has led a pretty easy life, all things considered. A correct chrome lever for the C4 3-speed automatic transmission sticks out of the transmission tunnel, and there\'s an original AM radio in the dash. The optional folding rear seat makes the fastback one of the more practical muscle cars, giving you a ton of space for just about anything you\'re likely to carry, even if it\'s just luggage for you and a friend for a long trip out west somewhere. That appears to be the original trunk mat, and it also includes a full-sized spare tire. The original engine was a C-code 289, but thanks to the wonders of Ford small block interchangeability, there\'s a stout 302 in its place. To be specific, it\'s a 5.0L/302 \"High Output\" engine sourced from an 80\'s Mustang, it\'s quite a bit more powerful than the old 2-barrel 289, and it still makes all the right sounds. Of course, without us telling you about the additional cubic inches, you\'d probably never notice, since it wears a correct Ford Blue air cleaner with reproduction 289 decal, stamped steel valve covers, and a lot of original equipment to complete the illusion. Underneath, the floors are new and the ever-important torque boxes have been rebuilt, there\'s a great-sounding dual exhaust system with correct rolled dual tips, and the 8-inch rear is full of easy-cruising 2.79 gears. And nothing looks better on an early Mustang than shiny styled steel wheels, with these wearing fat 235/60/14 BFGoodrich radials. Make this the time that you get on board at the beginning of a trend and put this Pony in your stable today. Call now! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who will use classifieds to get your money. Here are some ways to avoid these scams. Use skepticism and good judgment.
  1. Be wary if the price is notably below market value.
  2. Be prudent with International transactions. A good number of buyer/seller fraud attempts originate from overseas.
  3. Confirm contact information. Legitimate buyers/sellers will provide valid information, including phone.
  4. In almost every case scammers will convey a sense of urgency.
