Vehicle Description

I\'m selling this car to get together a down payment for a house. It\'s been in my family since the mid-70\'s and currently has a Hawaii title. I\'ve been driving the car occasionally now that the weather is cold, but drove it quite a bit this past summer. I\'ll be sad to see this piece of family history go, but life moves on. :)

It has a three speed automatic transmission, power steering AM Radio (needs antenna), power brakes.

Good Stuff:
Fresh Paint (three years old - still looks good)
New Top, with glass rear window
Runs, Drives, Stops
New Steering box (one year old)
It has a rebuilt 307 v8. Not the original 327. The engine was rebuilt about 30k ago.

Not so good:
The interior needs work. The upholstery has some holes in it, the dash is cracked, and some trim pieces are missing
The trunk latch is missing. The body shop lost the parts when installing the new trunk pan. I have it tied down right now, but it will need to be replaced.
The power top hydraulic pump burnt out last summer. I just disconnected the mechanism and have been using it as a manual convertible
Window weather seals need to be replaced
Will need a new header panel - this is the piece at the front of the hood. It was dented while pulling into a parking garage
LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who will use classifieds to get your money. Here are some ways to avoid these scams. Use skepticism and good judgment.
  1. Be wary if the price is notably below market value.
  2. Be prudent with International transactions. A good number of buyer/seller fraud attempts originate from overseas.
  3. Confirm contact information. Legitimate buyers/sellers will provide valid information, including phone.
  4. In almost every case scammers will convey a sense of urgency.
