I have a beautiful (Rare) Red Mercedes Marlene Replica with only 11,000 miles on the car since it was built in 1989 by the Classic Roadsters Factory in Fargo, ND in the 1980’s and is titled in NC as 1989 Special Constructed Vehicle.
(Don\'t confuse this Marlene with the cheaper Mercedes Gazelle.)
The Marlene has the specially factory built square tubular frame and all Mustang running gear with V6 Mustang engine (2800cc),
Completely rebuilt C-4 automatic transmission, and Mustang rear end
It also has the Mustang II front suspension with disc brakes and rack and pinion steering.
It has the beautiful white Naugahyde interior and new convertible top with roll up windows.
And beautiful expensive chrome (5 REAL) wire wheels with like-new whitewall tires.
New aluminum radiator with electric fan that allows the engine to run cool –even in hour-long parades.
All lights and gages function.
The Mercedes runs and drives great and receives the most attention of any car that I have ever owned as cameras are constantly snapping pictures during parades and shows.
Will consider a trade on a Pymouth Prowler
$16,900($3-$4000 less than comparable Marlenes)
