Vehicle Description

Mustang fans, you\'re in luck. This 1970 Mach 1 is a bargain compared to its investment-grade siblings, so if you\'re looking for a genuine Mach 1 you can drive, here it is! Few will argue that the 1970 Mustang isn\'t one of the best-looking designs of the muscle car era, particularly in fastback form.. But before we talk about performance and engines and all that, take a look at the special Mach 1 gear this one wears, including the Shaker hood scoop, chin spoiler, and Mach 1 rocker panel callouts. Other goodies include the optional rear window slats and black tail spoiler, neither of which make the car go faster but they definitely look like they do. The white paint is in excellent condition, showing light signs of use, but nobody\'s going to complain when they hear the rumble of the V8 that\'s making the hood scoop dance. As a former AACA first prize winner in 1999, you know this one was done right. Few color combinations look better than the black-and-white combination this Mach 1 sports today. High-back buckets sport Ford\'s patented \"comfort-weave\" upholstery which is just that-a woven vinyl that\'s surprisingly comfortable and helps keep you cool. Matching black door panels and new carpets were installed at the same time, completing the upgrade. Ford\'s twin-cockpit design puts a quartet of gauges ahead of the driver, all wrapped in faux woodgrain, while the passenger got an analog clock for symmetry. All the gauges show clear faces and remain fully functional, just like the original AM radio. It shows very few signs of use, further proof that the comfort-weave upholstery wears like iron and that someone took exceptionally good care of this car since its trophy-collecting days ended. The trunk is finished to OEM standards, complete with a full-sized spare, Goodyear Wide Oval tire, and a correct mat. The engine is a correct 351 cubic inch V8 topped by a 2-barrel carburetor, the standard engine on the Mach 1. All signs point to this being the original engine, but since Ford didn\'t do \"matching numbers\" in the traditional sense of the term, there\'s just no way to verify it. But most of the components are correct, the Ford Blue paint is just the right shade, and it\'s easy to see why this is a former prize-winner. It starts easily and makes great torque, a muscle car trademark. A 3-speed FMX automatic makes for relaxed cruising, ably assisted by a 9-inch rear full of 2.79 gears which make high-speed blasts completely effortless. The undercarriage is just as nicely detailed as the engine bay, with spotless floors, correct balancing marks on the driveshaft, and a correct dual exhaust system. Unusual wheel covers are a neat touch instead of ubiquitous Magnum 500s, and it wears F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas tires as original. Few Mustangs earn the prizes this one already owns, and now you can own it for a fraction of the price of its big-block siblings. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who will use classifieds to get your money. Here are some ways to avoid these scams. Use skepticism and good judgment.
  1. Be wary if the price is notably below market value.
  2. Be prudent with International transactions. A good number of buyer/seller fraud attempts originate from overseas.
  3. Confirm contact information. Legitimate buyers/sellers will provide valid information, including phone.
  4. In almost every case scammers will convey a sense of urgency.
