Regrettably the time has come to sell my ’74 2000 GTV. I’ve been the proud owner since ’96 when I bought it from the then second owner. The story is that he brought it down from San Francisco in ’78 when he bought it off the original owner. The car has been meticulously maintained at Alfa Milano, http://alfamilano.net/Home_Page.html, by Aquile Gemba, in Los Angeles since before I bought it. It’s got fewer than 70k original miles and is in fine condition. This is NOT a project car. Here are some highlights as to what’s inside; dual Webbers, custom race cams, custom exhaust, custom headers, platinum plugs, Euro wheels, front spoiler. We took out the bushings in the front so it’s been lowered a touch as a result. Recent tune-up including air and oil filter, along with new battery and new alternator. About five years ago we rebuilt the rear suspension, replaced the clutch, put new bearings in the steering column, and replaced all of the old weather stripping. Tires are a year old. Car has completely custom interior. We replaced the black vinyl seats and door panels with tan cloth and leather. Rear seat has been removed and replaced with a custom built luggage rack. We removed the big box indicators and replaced them with much smaller euro style units. It’s Sirius ready with a new Alpine stereo and a stereo subwoofer by KICK. No accidents, no rust. I recently had the parking-lot dings taken care of and gave it a fresh polish.
The car is located southern CA, always stored in the garage and under a cover. It is started daily and driven every week to keep it in top running shape. I am asking $35,000. All records are available on request.
