1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Convertible for sale in our Chicago Showroom. This 76 Mercedes has 122,700 well cared for miles, with 25 years or receipts to prove it. It has the removable hard top, with a new soft top just installed. The brown interior of the Benz has been replaced and is in great shape. Mercedes Benz produced approximately 66,000 450 SL in 1976. The 450 SL was an FR-styled car, meaning the engine was located in the front and the car was rear-wheel-driven. US models sold from 1976 through 1979 used the Bosch K Jetronic system, an entirely mechanical fuel injection system. All US models used the 4.5 liter engine, and were called 450 SL/SLC.
