This 1931 Ford Model A is a unique and rare find. The prior owner got this car from his father who had inherited it from his father. Three generations later, this Model A remains pristine and presents in show condition.
This car was restored in 1975 and driven sparingly .The current owner found this car still garaged since 1992 when the former owners father passed away. It was covered in 2 inches of dust and had been in an enclosed garage and well protected. There were no issues with mice or moths or other deteriorating factors. Current owner sensitively cleaned and polished up the car. It is in amazing new condition and did not need any replacements on the exterior or interior. The engine was gone through, needing only points and spark plugs, and the engine compartment detailed. New points new spark plugs.
The body is a Murray body and it is straight and solid, all steel. The wood has never rotted and is in excellent condition. Paint is sharp and professional, not visible flaws. Interior is correct to original specs and it is immaculate. The carpet is perfect, headliner looks new, and fabric shows no age. All tools are under the front seat.
The engine is the original 201 cid L head 4 cylinder with 3 speed sliding gear manual transmission. This car starts and runs with no issues, it sounds great!
This car is in #2 condition and is a great investment candidate or a great car to go through a high end auction. Any early Ford enthusiast will be extremely pleased with this incredible find. Car is located in North Carolina, resides with a private collector.
