383 ci - 2 bbl - Pushbutton 727 trans
Runs/Drives needs tlc. Engine sounds really good. Front brakes just upgraded from drum to AAJ Disc. That\'s a $600.00 kit.
The rear bumper is damged but the body is ok behind the bumper.
-While it has rust, evevrything else like the wiring, engine and other hardware look very original and unmolested. Things look so \"normal\" that I\'ve used this car as a reference for a \'62 Newport I have. You\'ll have to do some bodywork, but I don\'t see hacked wiring or goofy fix-it jobs.
-I was told the transmission has been rebuilt and has about 50 miles on it.
-It was stored since the 1980\'s. I purchased it last year from a guy that bought it 2 years ago and let it set outside.
-Tires look new
-The wiring under the dash and in the engine bay is unmolested
-it has bondo in the rear 1/4\"s
-no carpet - it\'ll need front floor pans ($75 each)
-The rear seat is nice, the front has a tear
-all dash lights work!
-mice got into the headliner
-some of the interior trim is pretty well pitted from condensation - it\'s easy to find online.
-one rear door needs a hinge fixed.
-it\'ll need a rear bumper - usually $200-300 - but you can find them for less
-it\'s been painted at some time in it\'s life
-no seat belts, this was 1962. I have a couple new ones you can have to install.

LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who will use classifieds to get your money.
