Vehicle Description

This 1941 Cadillac convertible is a spectacular example of a quality original survivor collector vehicle. All original sheet metal, this is Cadillac is not only rare but very desirable. Only 4,055 convertible coupes were produced in 1941.

This 1941 Cadillac can remain like it is, a great driver or, one can paint the car and drive it. This car is a great one to consider for a full top notch restoration as it is in very good driver condition to begin with. The body is all steel. Floor pans are original to the car and are solid, as well as the frame and trunk floor. The rockers are in good condition, one has a little rust near the wheel well. Likely one would replace the rockers all together. But many would not bother or would just repair the small place.

Exterior is black with a tan convertible top. The car does need paint. The chrome is very presentable and it is not necessary to re-chrome the bumpers. One may want to replace the spears. A top notch restorer would have to make the decision to re-chrome or not, but as is, bumpers are in very good presentable driver condition.

The interior is maroon leather and in great condition with no rips or tears. The front seat was redone years ago the back seat is original. Dash is very good but you will likely want to repaint it. The steering wheel has been restored. The Town and Country radio is fully rebuilt and restored. This car came with fog lights and back up light.

The engine is not original to the car but it is correct. It is a crate flathead V8 with standard shift, column shifter. There are no more than 500 miles on the engine. Wiring harness and stainless steel exhaust are new.

I was impressed with this car as it started and ran right away with no one hesitation. The owner had not started the car in a few months. There were no leaks, no smoking, and it drove with great performance. Solid and reliable, this rare Cadillac is one that is worth taking a serious look at. This 1941 Cadillac is located in Kentucky and resides in a private collection. It has been in the hands of serious collectors for years, owner history is known.
LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who will use classifieds to get your money. Here are some ways to avoid these scams. Use skepticism and good judgment.
  1. Be wary if the price is notably below market value.
  2. Be prudent with International transactions. A good number of buyer/seller fraud attempts originate from overseas.
  3. Confirm contact information. Legitimate buyers/sellers will provide valid information, including phone.
  4. In almost every case scammers will convey a sense of urgency.
