Looking for a clean third-generation Camaro, but perhaps something a little out of the ordinary? Sure, there are plenty of Z/28s and IROCs around, but when was the last time you saw a V8-powered base model? With just two owners from new and a complete history, it\'s a clean and unusual F-body that is full of potential. Red is always the right choice on a Camaro. This one sports much of its original paint, as well as all original sheetmetal, and has never been rusty or hit. The clean, unadorned lines of the Camaro shine through, and without the add-ons, it\'s easy to see why the design was such a game-changer in the early 80s. The lines are sleek, and the plain rear hatch looks especially slick in these days of everything from Hyundais to Subarus sporting some kind of wing tacked on back there. The chin doesn\'t show many marks from steep driveways, and the black components are remarkably devoid of UV damage, which tended to happen almost overnight if you didn\'t take care of it. The original tape stripes are pure \'80s, but they\'re in good condition and not peeling or cracking from age. Like I said, you don\'t often see one of these so nicely preserved. Matching red cloth upholstery is simply gorgeous, with comfortable buckets and the coolest rear seat cushions you\'ve ever seen. Everything looks almost new, including the carpets and door panels, and there\'s no evidence of sun damage on the top of the dash. GM\'s clearly marked gauges were a nice change from the digital frenzy going on at the time, and the unusual steering wheel with its rectangular hub shows that Chevy was still willing to take some design risks. Even the hatch area is clean and shows no fading, not an easy feat with red carpets and that massive glass rear window. Power comes from GM\'s ultra-reliable 305 cubic inch V8 topped by a 4-barrel carburetor. Mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, it\'s a fun, dependable powertrain that delivers V8 thrills on a budget. Showing signs of regular maintenance, this original engine has never been apart and has never needed any major surgery thanks to just 58,000 original miles. Thanks to its Chevy DNA, it\'s ready for upgrades if that\'s your bent, as every power-enhancing component that works on a small block V8 will bolt right on. On the other hand, it runs so well just the way it is, you might just enjoy the wonderful originality. If you had one of these in high school, you know what I\'m talking about. Even the standard steel wheels look right, and they wear recent BFG blackwall radials. A time warp or a blank canvas? You decide, but you\'ll have to act fast. This one won\'t last!
