The Ford Galaxie was a full-size car built in the United States by the Ford Motor Company for model years 1959 through 1974. The name was used for the top models in the Ford full-size range from 1959 until 1961, in a marketing attempt to appeal to the excitement surrounding the Space Race. In 1962, all full-size Fords wore the Galaxie badge, with 500 and 500 XL denoting the higher series. The Galaxie 500 LTD was introduced for 1965 followed by Galaxie 500 7-Litre in 1966. This car has been kept inside for 40 yrs. All original. 390- 4 barrel automatic with factory air conditioning. 116,000 original miles. Yes still runs great! This car has never been restored, and would not be too hard to do. This car is a rare find. It has verry little rust ,it came from Georgia where it stayed until 2009. The crome and all emblems are all there and intacked,no rust on crome.The interrior has a few problems not bad ones but all is original, the tires is the only thing that isnt.
