1964 MG M 1964 MG MGB Race Car
This 1964 MGB was purchased new in 1964 by Don Munoz. From 1965 to 1975, Don raced the number 95 MGB in countless SCCA races, and was quite competitive. When Dons son was born, the MGB was put into storage for eighteen years. Then the MGB was removed from storage, detuned, and given to Dons son to drive when he went off to college. Following college, the car was once again converted into a race car. Don Munoz enjoyed about ten years of vintage racing the car before selling it to Allen Fine. Don purchased a Lotus 23 sports racer. The black number-95 MGB has been driven by Marcus Jones since 2004.

Engine: Prather Racing prepared BMC B-Series four cylinder Engine. 1840cc. Prather camshaft. Dual 1.75 inch S.U. carburetors with KandN air filters. Mallory Unilite distributor. Lucas sport coil. MSD spark plug wires. Johnson HTP external oil pump, wet sump and Jones Racing Products pulley system.
Cooling: Howe aluminum radiator, part 342MG1.
Exhaust: Custom stainless steel header and exhaust system. Race muffler.
Transmission: Quaife Borg Warner T9-based dog-ring 5-speed transmission. Tilton clutch.
Rear Axle: Stock MGB banjo axle with 4.55 or 4.88:1 gear depending on track and limited slip differential.
Front Suspension: Modified and lightened front cross member. Modified spindles.
Rear Suspension: Lowering blocks. SPAX telescoping shock absorbers. Anti-tramp bars. Dave Headley Fab-Tek anti-sway bar.
Brakes: Master, Dual Tilton master cylinders with dashboard-adjustable bias bar, plus a Wilwood proportioning valve on the rear line. Front, Wilwood Superlite front calipers with Carbotech pads.
Rear, MG drum brakes with Carbotech shoes.
Wheels and Tires: Real magnesium Minilite wheels. Hoosier Street T.D. P205-60D14 bias ply tires.
Electrical: No charging system.
