Vehicle Description

Here\'s a numbers-matching L84 327/375 HP Corvette finished in the correct code 923 Riverside Red over code 490 red vinyl interior with a brand new white convertible top. If you drive any mid-year Corvette, especially a Riverside Red roadster, you\'re going to get noticed. Subject to an exhaustive cosmetic and mechanical restoration in 2009, this one remains in excellent condition that\'s well above what most folks consider a \"driver.\" The fiberglass prep was expertly done, and while to the judges a flawed Corvette is a perfect Corvette, this one has no such pretensions. The surface was sanded to near-perfection, the gaps were expertly aligned, and the finish is two-stage urethane that\'s smoother, deeper, and shinier than anything rolling out of the St. Louis plant in 1964. The chrome was restored, the stainless spent some time with a buffing wheel, and the cool anodized aluminum rockers look freshly minted. And yes, those fuel injection badges are legit, although we\'ll talk about the engine in a moment. The red interior was replaced just before the current owner acquired the car, and as such, needed no additional refurbishing. The seat covers are correct and these seats are some of the most inviting buckets I\'ve seen in a long time-they\'re just begging you to slide behind the wheel, aren\'t they? The gauges have been beautifully rebuilt, and the markings are so crisp that I\'m left wondering if they even looked that good when they were new, bereft of computer technology as they were. New carpets and a restored center console add to the factory-fresh feeling inside, and the door panels are wonderfully done. A white vinyl convertible top was installed at the same time. Now about that engine. The block is the original, numbers-matching L84 fuelie 327/375 HP piece, but now sporting a 670 CFM Holley double pumper in place of the original Rochester setup. This is common, and it makes the car vastly easier to service and much friendlier on the road, so the switch is understandable, and it diminishes the performance not one bit. Fully rebuilt less than 500 miles ago, it also offers a set of World Products iron heads, roller rockers, a Comp Cams camshaft, and an Offenhauser 56-17 intake. Everything else is new, ranging from the bearings to the hoses, and including the custom Flowmaster exhaust. The Muncie M20 4-speed has been fully rebuilt with new gear clusters, and out back a new 4.10 axle assembly replaces the original 3.08 setup (which is available). Front disc brakes were added and matched the specs of a 1965 setup, and it rides on steel wheels with original hubcaps and recent whitewall radials. Exhaustively restored to drive, this \'64 Corvette has a lot of smart upgrades that make it a pleasure on the road. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom. LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who will use classifieds to get your money. Here are some ways to avoid these scams. Use skepticism and good judgment.
  1. Be wary if the price is notably below market value.
  2. Be prudent with International transactions. A good number of buyer/seller fraud attempts originate from overseas.
  3. Confirm contact information. Legitimate buyers/sellers will provide valid information, including phone.
  4. In almost every case scammers will convey a sense of urgency.
