Description:
This Chevrolet could be the best of the past and present. I say this because this original 55 BelAir has been restored twice and is in showroom condition and ready for modern day driving. The first restoration included a new interior, the powerglide transmission and the 265 v8. Engine was removed and rebuilt. The car was stripped down on the frame and repainted. The exhaust system was remove and replaced with a new dual exhaust. Photos and all the documents are available for all the work performed. In 2009 I felt it was time to restore this car again so I drove over to the west coast of Florida to Showtime Cars Restoration. The people at this company are true craftsmen and the quality of Work done is outstanding. This time around the original v8 engine and powerglide transmission Was removed and are now in my garage. A new 700R4 overdrive transmission and a fresh rebuilt 350 V8 engine was installed. The front drum brakes were replaced with new 11” rotors and pads. New headers, new MSD distributor and high voltage control box were added along with a new Set of tires and GM rally rims. Again I have all the documents for all the work performed in the Past 13 years. This car is garage kept and everything that has been removed is right here with the car. The 265 Engine is turned over but not started every 3 months. I drive the car several times a month to The local car show and around town.
