Here at John Scotti we are proud to present this 1987 Ferrari Testarossa. This Ferrari has only 10714 km's it is a one owner, well maintained beauty. By the time the decade of the 1980's ended,it seemed as though the Testarossa had been in the Ferrari line-up forever, because it had gained so much attention from enthusiasts and the general public alike. The dramatic two-seater coupe, introduced late in 1984 at the Paris Auto Show as successor to the Boxer Berlinetta(BB),soon began almost to make Ferrari a household word in America.Reviving the legendary Testa Rossa ("redhead") name of a late-1950's Ferrari sports/racer,so called because of its red cam covers. Pininfarina designed and built the dramatically sensuous body, whose shape was honed in a wind tunnel, focusing mainly on front/rear downforce. Most startling of its styling features were the six huge, long horizontal strakes(ribs) on each bodyside, which led from the door fronts into air scoops just ahead of the rear wheels. Those fed air to twin rads behind the cockpit. Those strakes weren't added solely for looks, though they certainly attracted plenty of attention. As a practical matter, too, rear mounted rads allowed more luggage space up front. With a rear tread dimension nearly six inches wider than the front, the Testarossa displayed a broad and brawny back end, highlighted by monstrous tires.Horizontal rear slats and four round exhaust pipes completed the rear-end picture. A Testarossa could not only approach 180 mph,but was capable of accelerating to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, and blasting through the quarter mile in 13.6 seconds or less, hitting 105 mph at the end.For more information on this car please feel free to contact us at 1-514-735-0555 or via email at info@johnscotti.com |
