This 1962 F250 flatbed has
undergone a complete mechanical
reconstruction and improvement. This
was done by ATD, an exotic car
service and repair shop in Portland,
OR, owned by the late Dick Guthrie.
The 223ci six was replaced with
remanufactured 300ci six done by
Larson and King rebuilders, also in
Portland, OR. The engine was
moderately tuned for power and
reliability. A Crower hydraulic cam was
added. The head was shaved a bit.
Clifford headers and a Clifford intake
manifold were used. Edelbrock 4-
barrel carburetor, MSD igntion, new
radiator with electric fans, C6
automatic transmission with torque
converter, rebuilt u-joints, brakes all
redone, etc, etc. Total cost just under
$20,000.00 with all cost breakdown
available and CD-ROM of the entire
process. Probably no more than 4000 miles on rebuild. Price
negotiable. |
