Vehicle Description
|
This is an original Spyder optioned Monza with the 150 hp Tonawanda "YR" turbo motor and 4 speed manual transmission. Original wire/spinner wheel covers. Black interior is completely stock. New hard to find 13 inch whitewall tires. New battery installed 12-08-07. New carpet (Clark's Corvairs OEM black) installed professionally 10-28-07. Paint job is older but still shines well. Glass is all original and 100% intact. Nearly correct as optioned originally except for color of CV top according to VIN/Trim tags. If you are looking for a true Spyder make sure you research the car in question first. Many of the "Spyders" out there are only re-badged cars or have donor instrument panels or may not have the correct engine or necessary components. Comparing a turbocharged Spyder or high performance Corsa to a regular production Corvair is like comparing an RS/SS Camaro to a base model Camaro. A true Spyder is NOT a regular run of the mill 'Vair no more than a hemi 'Cuda is a regular Barracuda.
All instruments work. Lights, horn, wipers, heater all work. Yes, glove compartment light and windshield washer pump work as do all panel lights and dimmers. Trip odometer and regular odometer work! Day/night rearview mirror works! Car is street legal and ready to enjoy! You can afford this GENUINE original early 60's convertible which, unlike certain ridiculously priced makes and models this car actually gets respectable gas mileage and is very affordable to own and operate. Manual top is white and approximately 3 years old. Rear plastic window is clear and supple. Matching top boot included. Comes with the original owner's manual (not a reprint). Original Chevrolet AM push button radio works! New speaker Nov 2008. RARE "fencing mask" headlight stone guards! Motor was rebuilt approximately 8300 miles ago. Brand new fuel tank, sending unit, and tank filter installed January 2008. Brand new tie rod ends/sleeves and pittman arm bushing installed Nov 2008 with fresh alignment.
This car is a very clean original survivor. N.A.D.A. antique car value is $12,850 in average condition. This car runs strong and smoothly, is complete and intact. May consider trade for another vehicle of similar value from the 1950s or earlier. Call me at cell #(410) 804 7289 and leave a message with your callback number or email me at bretzvetz@hotmail.com If email is used please put "Corvair" in subject bar. Seeing is believing. Good luck finding another true '63 Spyder in this remarkable condition at such a low price. |

LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who use classified ads to try and scam legitimate buyers and sellers.
To avoid becoming a victim of fraud, use a healthy dose of skepticism and your own good judgment when dealing with
strangers over the internet.
• Be wary if an item is priced notably below market value.
• Be prudent with international transactions. A good number of buyer/seller fraud attempts originate from overseas.
• Confirm contact information. Legitimate buyers/sellers will provide valid information, including phone numbers.
• Scammers usually convey a sense of urgency - don't be rushed into a decision.
