The classic cars that many of us see are those trucked in to shows as the owner doesn’t want to drive the car for any number of reasons. Classic cars can be seen out on the road now by anyone with a computer though thanks to American Collectors Insurance TV show called American Detours. You can check these out on YouTube, once again proving old cars and computer technology do mix.

The program takes a classic car and then the hosts stop by a place that offers some real Americana besides the car. Episode 1 for instance had them driving a 1963 and ½ Ford Galaxie 500 through Southwest Louisiana visiting an old country store, where they meet the owner of the car and then go to a nature preserve. The cars in all the episodes look great and sound great too. You might wish for a little more car and a little less travelogue but check it out and you be the judge.
