If you happen to be in the state of New York next weekend, you should make a trip to Long Island to attend the Americana Manhasset Concours d’Elegance. This event is one of the premier annual luxury car shows in the state, and it will be held on the 14th of October at the popular outdoor shopping mall, the Americana Manhasset.

Entitled “Technology of Movement”, this year’s event will feature 200 rare privately-owned automobiles. These cars will be competing for many awards, including the “Best in Show” and “Best in Class” titles. You will get to see many interesting vintage, classic, and concept cars at the show, including a 1947 Ferrari 159S Chassis Number 002C, possibly the oldest Ferrari in the world; a 1959 Ferrari GT California Spyder; a 1965 Aston Martin DB5; and others. Official judging will commence at 9:30 a.m., and the results will be announced at 2:00 p.m. on the north side of the mall.

Proceeds from the 8th Americana Manhasset Concours d’Elegance, which are obtained through the sale of raffle tickets, will be donated to the Sunrise Day Camp, the only dedicated camp in the United States for children who are suffering from cancer. The prize for the winning raffle ticket holder is a 2012 Maserati GT Convertible. More information about the event is available at the Americana Manhasset Concours d’Elegance website.
