The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is one of the most esteemed classic car shows in the United States. The 18th edition of this annual event will take place at the Golf Club of Amelia Island on Amelia Island, Florida from the 8th to the 10th of March, 2013. Classic car enthusiasts who will be in Florida next weekend should try to attend this spectacular show.
A number of interesting events will be held on the two days preceding the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. These include the Marque Car Road Tour, Porsche Driving Experience, Porsche 911 Seminar, and the 50th Anniversary of the Chevy Corvette Sting Ray Seminar on Friday, and the Ford GT40 Seminar on Saturday. The concours d’elegance itself will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, and it will showcase 300 of the finest antique cars, classic cars, and racing cars in the world. This year’s concours will honor Harry Miller-built racing cars, the Ford GT40 that won four Le Mans races in a row, and the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911. There will also be an interesting display of Cadillac prototype and concept cars.
